How to Transition your Summer Clothes to Fall by Julie Plunk

I’m all about efficiency. I love reusing pieces in my closet for multiple uses. As fall approaches (ya know, in 3 months when it actually cools off here in Tennessee), it saves me money and room in my closet to transition my summer items into my fall wardrobe. Here are some tips to making those summer outfits last a little longer:

  • It’s all about the layers! Add a shacket to your sundress. Spice up your tank with a leather jacket. Pair a sweater with your midi skirt! Going into the office? Layer with a blazer and add a silk scarf for an elevated look. Pro tip: tie the sweater to the side or add a belt to define your waist.

Layers:

Classic Dot Sweater

Shacket

Blazer

Add a turtleneck or button-up blouse under your favorite sundress or tank top. Trend alert: Tonal outfits! Pick a layer that is the same tone/hue of your dress for a trendy, chic look.

Tops to layer underneath:

Mockneck Top

Turtleneck Bodysuit

Button Up Shirt

Textured Button Up Shirt

  • Don’t forget the accessories. Investing in great boots is a MUST, plus you can add a scarf or hat to complete the look!

Accessories:

STUNNING Hat

Classic Black Felt Hat

Ankle Boots

Black Knee-High Boots
