Summer is coming, y’all. For some of us, however, it’s always summer in our hearts! I’m a huge fan of all things summer vacation—beach trips, sunshine, acai bowls, garden-fresh veggies, all of it! As your favorite travel pro, I have a few must-pack items for your next beach vacay. Whether you’re heading to the Florida coast, Outer Banks, or island-hopping in the Caribbean, Poppie’s and I have you covered!
1. Denim Shorts
Shorts are the casual girl’s best friend! They’re great for exploring a beach town, hiking uphill toward a gorgeous view, and my personal favorite: wearing with my bathing suit! My favorite denim shorts have functioning back pockets, which I always need so I have access to my phone. Don’t get me wrong, though. A pretty, dress-style bathing suit cover-up is always a winner, but sometimes I need shorts instead. Think, paddleboarding, long walks on the beach, and something to throw on to pop into a beach café—now my bathing suit is a bodysuit, right?!

2. A Breezy Top
Every girl loves a flirty, flowy top, even if you’re not flirting! And I am personally loving the embroidery that’s so on-trend this season. A gorgeous top can be beautifully basic, or it can be your pop of color to make a statement. And speaking of statements, it’s the perfect top to pair with statement earrings or those essential shorts mentioned above!

3. Bathing Suit Cover-up
Okay, if shorts are not your idea of a bathing suit cover-up, never fear! The most versatile bathing suit cover-up can go from the beach to the fancy seaside restaurant with the classic ocean views because… It can also be a dress! 4. Sundresses
Dresses… plural! As a light packer, I rarely pack more than one of any type of clothing, but dresses are my major exception! I love them, and I’ve long-said that Poppie’s has the best selection all year round, especially for summer! I like to bring along a short dress, maxi dress, and at least one dress that makes a statement. Bonus points if you can wear those dresses multiple ways to maximize your outfits the whole trip!

5. Sandals
Show me that pretty pedicure, ladies! It’s not really summer until I feel the sun all the way down to my toes.
